Information held:-
The personal information held by The Vale Firearms, comprises of names and addresses of customers and purchasers of weapons and/or ammunition.
The details are held in a written register together with an electronic register containing the same details. These details are shared with Her Majesty’s Constabulary and The Home Office, and also shared with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs – “Firearms and Explosives Officer, International Trade South” No other organization or persons have legal access to these details.
Firearms dealers records need to kept and maintained for a minimum of 20 years.
The Vale Firearms will only deal with Certificate holders as issued by Her Majesty’s Constabulary or The Home Office, or in cases of Imports, the Exporters licences issued by the appropriate authority in their Country.
The Vale Firearms owner Malcolm R Hardwicke-Ridgeway is in charge of all Data Protection. The Vale Firearms does not need to appoint a Data Protection Officer.
All sales are conducted with the United Kingdom – some purchases are made in Germany and The United States of America, and again the details must be kept for 20 years.
